Every year the University of Pennsylvania Band provides opportunities for youth across the Greater Philadelphia Region to experience fun and memorable performance opportunities found no where else, with 3-4 free day-long band day events and a week-long summer music camp offered every academic year.
Our Mission is to provide world-class instrumental music performance opportunities and enrichment that rewards, enrichs, and inspires youth, in the spirit of the University of Pennsylvania's ongoing mission.
Our annual events offer an easy way for individual students or school groups to spend time at Penn and experience our musical community. Participation is free, and the campus honor band events bring high school musicians together with Penn Band members for rehearsal, meals, and performance.

The Palestra Honor Band is an especially fun introduction to Pennās campus spirit: students perform alongside our band in one of college basketballās most storied venues.

For Band Day and Field Trip events, weāre happy to accommodate Color Guard students as well.
For students who would enjoy a more immersive experience, our annual High School Summer Music Camp offers a full week of music-making on Pennās campus, with both commuter and overnight options. Itās an opportunity to spend an extended period in a university setting, build friendships with other high school musicians, and explore how music can remain part of their college experience.
